What are the responsibilities and job description for the Party Rental Sales Associate position at Midwest Rentals Inc?
JOB DUTIES:
• Primarily responsible for planning of and on-site coordination of events
• Work with clients to provide onsite survey inspections and design event plans
• Assist in preparation, delivery and pickup of event rental equipment as needed
• Produce computer-generated layouts of the event
• Provide written quotes according to established procedures
• Prepare and process contracts
• Contact clients prior to the event to verify delivery and pick-up times and coordinate and necessary changes
• Follow up with the client per company policy
• Maintain updated record of event inventory and event equipment reservation files
• Assist in store advertising per the direction of the Party Manager
• Assist with creating store promotions and displays
•Perform other duties as requested
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Work will be performed in both an office setting and outside
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents
• Some Night / Weekend work may be required
EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• A high school diploma or equivalent GED; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
• Must be able to lift/move approximately 50-70 lbs.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Rental industry experience is a plus
• Strong customer service skills
