Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Clinical Supervisor to lead and support our clinical team in delivering exceptional mental health services. In this vital role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, ensure adherence to best practices, and foster a positive environment that promotes growth and excellence. Your leadership will directly impact the quality of care provided to clients, guiding clinicians through complex cases, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence clinical outcomes while nurturing a collaborative and motivated team.

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting in overall clinical duties of the program, daily schedules, treatment of clients, as well as the adherence to ethical practice. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in managing the therapy team and ensuring timely and adequate documentation of practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor ethical practice of clients by all staff members.
  • Reinforce implementation of policies in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Ensure that outcome (BAM) surveys get administered monthly and submitted into KIPU
  • Develop curriculum, schedule of groups, client education, family education, and all other therapy services provided in conjunction with DON.
  • Schedule and set up monthly in-service trainings in accordance with Joint Commission standards
  • Conduct bi-weekly clinical supervision with employees needing supervision through their applicable credentialing process
  • Ensure proper training of newly hired therapists and interns
  • Oversee documentation of services provided, ensure quality and timely record keeping in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, where applicable.
  • Assist in leading bi-weekly clinical supervision meetings
  • Facilitate group and individual therapy, client education, family contact and therapy as needed.
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and counseling to clients, as needed.
  • Lead, assist or stand in for DON when necessary for crisis management, clinical decision making, etc.
  • Other duties within and outside of these dimensions as they arise within scope of practice or this position and level of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Must possess a Master’s Degree in Behavior Health Related Field and hold a certification and/or licensure to practice counseling in the state of the practice.

Special Skills:

  • The ability to listen to and understand individuals in need of personal attention.
  • The ability to evaluate a patient’s needs in dealing with alcoholism or other drug addiction related problems or other mental health conditions.
  • The ability to firmly recommend a treatment plan for each patient.
  • The ability to lead and control group sessions of patients.

Knowledge:

  • An acute understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures for alcoholism, drug addiction and other mental health related problems.
  • A vast knowledge of regulations concerning alcoholism and drug addiction treatment as well as behavioral health.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health, alcoholism and drug addiction and treatment procedures for such illness.

General:

This person must have enthusiasm, compassion, tact, a sense for detail in the diagnosis and treatment of healthcare issues of those suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction and other mental health conditions.

Conditions of Employment:

This person must be of the conviction that substance use disorders and mental health conditions are treatable illnesses and constitute a public health problem.

This person must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all patient related information.

This person must, on their own behalf, keep current all licensure and certifications that are applicable to their position

As with all other Midwest Recovery employees, the person in that position shall have no history or evidence of alcoholism or other drug misuse for a period of 1 year immediately prior to the date of employment, and no misuse of alcohol or other drugs while employed with our agency.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
