Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
- Manage access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary
- Enforce loss prevention strategies by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting findings accordingly
- Handle conflict situations with professionalism, de-escalating disputes and maintaining order
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV systems and monitoring techniques
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively using conflict management skills
- Knowledge of loss prevention tactics and security best practices
- Excellent observation skills with attention to detail during patrols and inspections
- Ability to stand, walk, or remain stationary for extended periods while maintaining alertness
