Position Summary:

The 3rd Party Associate is responsible for all 3rd Party (Amazon & eBay and any other 3rd party site) orders and communications with those customers. They will ensure that questions are responded to accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, they will assist other Used Department Associates as needed and directed. The Ecommerce/Used Associate will function as a strategic part of the Used and Purchasing Departments to ensure growth and reach of the Midwest Photo brand.

Responsible Duties:

• Provide outstanding customer service during each contact with customers, vendors, and internal associates.
• Process and pick online orders through Amazon, and eBay and any other 3rd party sites.
• Ensure that all orders are shipped on time with appropriate tracking information.
• Process returned orders from Amazon and eBay daily to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Track backorders by obtaining ETA information from the Purchasing Department and communicate that information to the customer in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and communicate with Shipping Department regarding order status and communicate any updates needed.
• Communicate with third party markets directly as needed regarding: a. Claim initiation and claim status. b. Negative feedback from vendors/customers. c. Customer disputes over charges and/or product conditions. d. Loss of eligibilities to sell certain products/brands determined by 3rd party vendors. e. Respond to chargeback claims following determination by third party markets.
• Strive for accuracy in all daily activities of product description and documentation, inventory, product knowledge, etc.
• Provide a timely response to all emails that are sent via Amazon or Outlook by internal and external recipients.
• Research products to post on 3rd party sites including Amazon, eBay, and various other online websites to assist with company visibility and reach.
• Receive discontinued product list periodically from Purchasing Manager, post products from that list frequently, and monitor daily. a. Work efficiently and accurately to process through discontinued products and assess next steps with each item. Modify listings when there is no activity to ensure visibility. b. Discuss other possible options for discontinued product when 3rd party postings are not successful after designated amount of time.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience using and working within POS software (CounterPoint) preferred
• 2 years’ experience utilizing online sources to purchase and sell inventory preferred a. Amazon and/or EBay experience required.
• Familiarity with basic photo equipment knowledge required

• Problem solving – identify problems related to purchasing and delivery and find avenues to support operations and growth in conjunction with Used Equipment Manager.
• Communication – comprehend written and spoken communication and demonstrate same to supporting staff to carry-on business-related discussions surrounding current and planned purchasing.
• Time management – manage time effectively and productively by understanding the flow of business and anticipating workflow.
• Demonstrate ability to perform as a team member.
• Ability to communicate details and pertinent information in writing, for the purpose of 3rd party listings.
• Able to photograph equipment in a manner that clearly shows the condition, in a relatively quick manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Outlook, and Photoshop.
• A high school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive a company provide vehicle as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Work on a computer in an office environment nearly 70% of the time and managing inventory and preparing for shipments and deliveries in the warehouse nearly 30% of the time.
• Review and respond to emails daily.
• Will spend time in a second nearby warehouse location as needed
• Answer phones and interact with employees and customers daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
