Position: Construction Installation Technician

Pay: Minimum starting wage $20-$24 per hour, commensurate with experience

Hours: This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday

Travel: This position requires travel throughout the work week

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in installing above- and underground petroleum tanks, piping, pumps, hoists, lifts and other petroleum and lubrication-related equipment
  • Measure, layout, hang, thread pipe, solder/braze pipe and set mechanical equipment
  • Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, excavators and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties
  • Be willing to travel to out-of-town job sites and work outdoors

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in general construction, plumbing, mechanical or underground utility related field
  • At least 1 year of experience with welding, fabricating and pipefitting preferred
  • Arc, mig and tig welding experience with various materials (preferably AWS certified) preferred
  • High school diploma or GED. Additional training and certification provided
  • Valid and clean driver’s license
  • Follow safety procedures diligently

Technical Requirements:

  • Able to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents
  • Able to perform manual construction work and equipment operations
