A Paratransit Driver for My Ride is responsible for transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner in the northern suburb area. The routes are in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Maple Grove and Plymouth. This position uses a small bus (No CDL is needed - Valid Class D license required) to successfully transport people, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations are the most important tasks of the driver.

Wednesday 7:30AM - 6:30PM

Friday 5:45AM - 5:30PM

*Opportunity for more hours on an as needed basis*

Pay: $21/hr

Responsibilities:

• Transport clients to and from destinations.
• Arrive at destinations on schedule.
• Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.
• Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays.
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
• Always interact with clients professionally.
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
• Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
• Keep mileage records and repair records up to date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 23 years old or older.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Satisfactory Driving Record (no suspension etc.).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must be comfortable with securing a passenger in a mobility device or assisting a passenger using an assistive walking device (training provided).
• Familiarity with the Twin Cities metro area.
