What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwright Mechanic position at Midwest Mechanical Industrial Services?

We are looking to add Millwrights to our team. Your primary role will be to repair, install, dismantle, maintain, and move machinery/heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment such as conveyors, turbines, mining devices, assembly line machinery, and pumps.
Uses hand tools, rigging, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust machines.
Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues
Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting equipment inspections.
Disassembles or dismantles machines.
Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprints
As needed, signal crane and lift operators, indicating where to put machinery.
Performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on older machines.
Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms and foundations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in construction, industrial, and commercial settings (Required)
High school diploma/GED (Required)
Valid Driver’s License (Required)
CDL License (Preferred)
OSHA (Preferred)
CPR/First Aid (Preferred)
Rigging/Signal (Preferred)

Compensation:

All candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen,

background check and physical.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
