Position Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment. This includes performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a pleasant and hygienic atmosphere for employees, visitors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed. Empty trash cans and replace liners, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and break rooms.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures. Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using cleaning chemicals and equipment appropriately.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and inform supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
• Notify management of any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning duties. Collaborate with other janitorial staff to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50llbs.
