Responsibilities
- Perform inventory management tasks including stock counting, cycle counting, and inventory control to maintain accurate records.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment using RF scanners and warehouse management systems like AS400.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and coordinating with carriers.
- Handle materials handling duties including heavy lifting, stocking shelves, packaging products, and organizing storage areas to optimize space utilization.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards by following safety protocols during all warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve workflow efficiency and implement best practices in warehouse management.
Skills
- Some knowledge of inventory management techniques and warehouse distribution processes is a plus
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Some familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in materials handling tasks including stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving.
- Experience in warehouse roles is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order fulfillment tasks.
