Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Accurately pick and pull orders reflecting any changes on the pick list
- Manage route driving efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules for timeliness and customer satisfaction
- Engage with customers and other trades professionally, providing exceptional service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Perform heavy lifting and merchandise handling with proper technique to ensure safety and product integrity
- Utilize strong math skills for inventory checks and accurate delivery documentation
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch and team members regarding delivery status, route changes, or issues encountered
Experience
- Valid chauffeur driver’s license (CDL-B) with a clean driving record; experience in residential delivery preferred
- Demonstrated ability in route driving, navigation, and time management skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Basic math proficiency for inventory management and accurate delivery
- Experience in home construction is a bonus
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and merchandise handling; organizational skills for managing multiple deliveries efficiently
- Military experience involving logistics or driving duties is advantageous but not required
