Job Summary
The Part-Time Warehouse & Shop Assistant supports daily operations by maintaining an organized warehouse, assisting with equipment and parts handling, and completing basic data entry to ensure accurate inventory and job tracking. This role is critical in ensuring technicians and project teams have the materials, information, and workspace needed to serve customers effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Support
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments of parts and equipment
- Accurately stock inventory and maintain clear labeling and organization
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory tracking
- Pull and stage parts for service technicians and installation crews
Shop & Facility Support
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and warehouse environment
- Assist with basic shop tasks including equipment setup and teardown
- Dispose of scrap materials, packaging, and debris appropriately
- Support upkeep of tools, equipment, and work areas
Data Entry & Administrative Support
- Enter and update inventory transactions in company systems (receiving, transfers, usage)
- Assist with job-related data entry including materials used and order updates
- Maintain accurate records of parts, shipments, and inventory adjustments
- Support basic paperwork organization and digital recordkeeping
- Communicate discrepancies or missing information to appropriate team members
Operational Support
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks for deliveries and projects
- Deliver parts or materials to job sites or other locations as needed
- Support technicians and project teams with material handling and preparation
- Follow all company safety procedures and standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior warehouse, shop, or agricultural experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills (comfortable with data entry and simple systems)
- Forklift experience (or willingness to learn)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
