Day-to-day tasks include reviewing plans and specifications, conducting site visits, quantifying materials and labor, and developing detailed proposals and bids. The Estimator collaborates with project managers, designers, and field teams to clarify scope, identify cost-saving options, and ensure estimates align with project goals and client expectations. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date pricing data, evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes, and supporting budget tracking during project execution. The Estimator will interact with clients and internal stakeholders, communicating clearly about project costs, timelines, and assumptions.

Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, drawings, and specifications, and translate them into accurate quantities and cost estimates.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating software or tools commonly used in construction or landscape estimating.
- Knowledge of landscape construction methods, materials, equipment, and local regulations; prior experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, project managers, field staff, suppliers, and clients.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, including managing multiple bids, meeting deadlines, and maintaining detailed documentation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and safety in all estimating and project support activities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a focus on customer service and long-term client relationships.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, horticulture, landscape architecture, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
