Job Summary
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Compliance department to help ensure the organization remains compliant with applicable regulatory, licensing, carrier, and internal requirements. This position serves as a subject matter resource for compliance processes, coordinates departmental projects and deadlines, monitors compliance initiatives, and works closely with internal departments to promote accurate and timely completion of compliance activities.

Essential Functions
- Coordinate departmental compliance activities to ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are met.
- Monitor and maintain compliance calendars, tracking systems, and reporting tools.
- Review, maintain, and update compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Coordinate licensing, appointments, renewals, and other regulatory filings as assigned.
- Prepare compliance reports and provide status updates to management.
- Research regulatory changes and communicate impacts to appropriate departments.
- Assist with internal and external audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests.
- Coordinate compliance-related projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding compliance policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing departmental training materials and onboarding resources.
- Review departmental workflows and recommend efficiencies to improve accuracy and productivity.
- Assist the Compliance Manager in establishing priorities and monitoring departmental workload.
- Cross-train with other compliance functions to ensure business continuity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Position Include
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field
- 3 years of commercial insurance and/or compliance experience
- Insurance licensing knowledge preferred
- Strong understanding of regulatory and carrier compliance requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial insurance industry experience
- Experience working with insurance licensing systems and regulatory agencies
- Experience interpreting compliance regulations and implementing operational procedures
- Project coordination or project management experience
- Professional insurance designation (CPCU, AINS, or similar) is a plus
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
