Position Overview:
We are seeking a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Technician / Operator member to assist in the daily operation of our hyperbaric facility. This role involves operating the chamber systems, ensuring client safety and comfort, maintaining equipment, and supporting general clinic operations. You will play a key part in creating a positive and professional client experience.
Note: This position does not require nursing or medical certification, but prior experience in a clinical, technical, or wellness environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Chamber Operations
- Operate and monitor hyperbaric oxygen chambers during client sessions.
- Perform pre-treatment checks and post-treatment inspections of chamber equipment.
- Performs patient care duties, as appropriate, according to his or her scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all sessions and equipment checks.
Client Interaction
- Greet and assist clients with check-in and pre-treatment instructions.
- Explain the HBOT process and answer non-medical questions.
- Provide a calm, reassuring presence during sessions.
- Escalate any client concerns to medical or supervisory staff as needed.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize chambers and treatment areas between sessions.
- Perform routine maintenance and report any technical issues.
- Ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with scheduling, client intake forms, and database entry.
- Support the startup team in refining protocols and improving workflow.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and safety drills.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Comfortable working with mechanical/technical equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically able to assist clients and perform light cleaning/lifting duties.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in health, wellness, or clinical settings.
- Background in fitness, physical therapy, or customer service.
- Familiarity with hyperbaric oxygen therapy or willingness to be trained.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
