Summary of Position
Midwest Hose is seeking a hose technician trainer is responsible for delivering a hands-on, performance-based training to new hires in the Hose Technician role. This position ensures that trainees gain proficiency in identifying, locating, and working with various items and tools while assembling final products, as well as mastering equipment operation and procedural tasks critical to daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Training and Education:
- Conduct structured training sessions in a classroom environment
- Conduct on-hand training of the tasks required in the allotted time frame while paying attention to detail and safety protocols
Procedure Training:
- Guide trainees through proper operations across the department
- Train processes to the company standards
Skill Assessment:
- Evaluate trainee performance using the provided documentation.
- Document progress and provide feedback to both trainees and management
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of training completion, notes, and employee signatures
- Communicate training outcomes and readiness for independent work
Promoting a Positive Training Culture
- Encourage employees to follow policies and report concerns
- Act as a liaison between employees and the Training Managers
- Participating in safety meetings to improve workplace safety
Work Environment:
- Warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial setting
- Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials
- Exposure to varying temperatures and working conditions
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Ability to assess and document trainee performance objectively (required)
- Prior forklift experience (preferred)
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. in adherence to Midwest Hose Safety Standards
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including exposure to temperature changes, dust, and machinery
- Strong communication and instructional skills, both verbal and written
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work outside regular business hours as needed
Compensation: $19.00-$22.00 hourly
Salary : $19 - $22
