Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, hourly pay (overtime eligible)
Work Location: In person / Multiple Jobsites throughout Central Illinois (based in Arthur, Illinois)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (frequent overtime opportunities)
Midwest Heritage Construction is looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Operations Assistant.
No construction experience is required!
What You'll Do
- Transport employees, subcontractors, materials, tools, and equipment between company facilities, suppliers, and jobsites.
- Run project-related errands and pickups as directed.
- Assist Construction Managers with daily operational needs.
- Deliver materials and supplies to jobsites.
- Help stage materials and organize work areas.
- Assist with jobsite setup and cleanup.
- Perform light-duty construction and labor tasks as needed.
- Support field crews to help projects remain productive and organized.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a clean and professional manner.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record and ability to qualify for company vehicle insurance coverage.
- No recent major driving violations that would prevent insurability.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong attendance and dependability.
- Ability to work safely in active construction environments.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move tools and materials.
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical work.
- Ability to speak and communicate clearly in English.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred
- Experience driving pickup trucks and trailers.
- Construction, agricultural, manufacturing, or mechanical experience.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Experience operating forklifts, skid loaders, or equipment is a plus.
