Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Refurbishing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for restoring, maintaining, and upgrading heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity. This role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, and structural skills, along with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, disassemble, refurbish, and reassemble construction equipment and trucks.
- Perform repairs or replacements of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural components as needed.
- Sandblast, paint, and perform cosmetic restoration on machinery surfaces to extend equipment life.
- Conduct thorough testing of refurbished equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and parts specialists to complete refurbishing projects efficiently.
- Identify potential issues or safety hazards and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience working with heavy machinery, construction equipment, or automotive refurbishment.
- Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems repair.
- Knowledge of welding, metal fabrication, and painting is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
