What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpet Cleaning Technician position at Midwest Health, Inc.?
Midwest Health is looking for a carpet technician that will be responsible for operating vacuum and commercial carpet shampooing/extractor equipment, mixing chemicals as required for shampooing carpets, and properly cleaning equipment following use. This person will travel to all Midwest Health senior living facilities to clean the communities' carpets.
Must have valid driver's license.
Overnight Travel Will Be Required Every Other Week.

- Cleans carpets with chemical solutions on customers’ premises, determining washing method according to condition of carpet/furniture.
- Vacuums carpets/furniture to remove loose dirt.
- Sprays carpet/furniture with cleaning solution.
- Removes excess suds water from carpet/furniture during scrubbing operation, using extractor.
- Identifies persistent stains and selects spotting agent to remove stain according to type of fiber, dye, and stain.
- Rubs chemical solution into carpet with hand brush until stain disappears.
- Rinses carpet using extractor to remove excess water.
- Removes water and chemicals from carpet extractor machine and cleans, replacing hoses and cords to proper storage positions.
- May help load and unload equipment for transportation to and from customer’s location.
- Keeps vehicle in good condition and maintains
- Assures 24-hour availability of service for maintenance emergencies.
