We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Pricing and Procurement Strategy to lead pricing strategy, margin optimization, and profitability across all business segments. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of distribution economics, customer program structures, and supply chain models from FOB to deliver. The successful candidate will use data and insights to guide decision-making, collaborate across teams, and ensure Midwest Foods remains competitive and profitable while delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and implement company-wide pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning.
- Oversee margin analysis across products, customer segments, and markets to identify opportunities and risks.
- Build and manage pricing models, rebate programs, and contract structures that support both growth and profitability.
- Maintenance of codes, contract FOB compliance, and market buys to support margin and support sales.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor market conditions, competitor pricing, and industry benchmarks to inform strategy.
- Provide actionable reporting and insights to senior leadership, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with Finance to analyze financial performance and forecast impacts of pricing changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure alignment on pricing initiatives.
- Support National Account teams with program design, cost modeling, and margin management.
- Ensure pricing governance and compliance across all business units.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a pricing and margin team, building capabilities in analysis, modeling, and execution.
Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:Experience:
- Minimum 7–10 years of pricing, finance, or margin management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of distribution economics and supply chain structures (FOB to delivered).
- Experience with national account programs, centralized procurement models, and rebate structures preferred.
- Foodservice distribution background is a plus but not required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills with expertise in Excel and BI tools.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with ability to influence senior leaders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strategic thinker with ability to balance customer needs and company profitability.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required. MBA preferred.
