Overnight Janitor

Midwest Foods is a wholesale food distributor providing top quality food products to numerous food establishments in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. Family owned and run company for two generations, we import fruits & vegetables from all over the country and other parts of the world to distribute these products to local markets. We are looking to complement our growth by selecting staff that will enhance our company’s mission to provide quality service and products. Midwest Foods is looking to hire an overnight Janitor.

Sunday-Fri with Saturdays and 1 weekday off

Time: 8pm- 4:30am

Availability to work overtime and holidays is required.

Responsibilities:

• General maintenance of cold storage warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down walls
• Gather and dispose of cardboard and packaging materials
• Gather and empty out warehouse garbage cans
• Other miscellaneous cleaning projects

Requirements:

• Must be able to drive Forklift & Walkie Rider
• Must be flexible to work different shifts, weekends and holidays
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in cold environment (35 degrees)
