Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC systems including air distribution, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical systems to meet project specifications.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, control diagrams, and HVAC system design documents to accurately evaluate system performance.
- Utilize hand tools and electronic testing equipment to diagnose electrical diagnostics issues, equipment troubleshooting needs, and mechanical systems repair requirements.
- Perform system installation tasks for HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to electrical systems, building automation systems (BAS), boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and other mechanical components.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure timely completion of testing phases while maintaining high quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system operations and maintenance procedures clearly to clients post-installation or repair.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience combined with service technician background in HVAC or related mechanical fields.
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems repair.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools and electronic testing devices used for equipment diagnostics.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in property maintenance or field service roles.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to operate a
driver vehicle as required. - Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are essential; additional certifications in HVAC/R or boiler operation are a plus.

Pay: $26.70 - $32.15 per hour
