Midwest Floor Restore – Floor Restoration Technician
Midwest Floor Restore is seeking an experienced Floor Restoration Technician with a strong background in terrazzo and concrete floor restoration. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in grinding, honing, polishing, and operating weighted swing machines and large planetary grinders.
Responsibilities
- Restore terrazzo and concrete floors using grinding, honing, polishing, densifying, and sealing techniques
- Operate weighted swing machines and large planetary grinders safely and efficiently
- Select proper diamonds, tooling, and steps based on floor conditions
- Maintain consistent scratch patterns and high-quality finish results
- Repair chips, cracks, and surface imperfections
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
- Work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when needed
- Travel for out-of-town projects (company covers travel expenses)
Qualifications
- Experience as a Terrazzo Floor Tech or Concrete Floor Tech
- Strong knowledge of grinding, honing, and polishing systems
- Proficiency with weighted swing machines and large planetary grinders
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, and professional
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required
