Purpose of the Position:
The Shift Lead/Part-Time Manager ensures the smooth operation of the restaurant in the absence of the Assistant or General Manager by overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with Hardee's standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as the manager on duty during assigned shifts, responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, managing cash, and ensuring security procedures are strictly followed.
- Oversees the deployment of crew members during shifts to provide excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
- Monitors compliance with all Hardee's policies and standards.
- Maintains the cleanliness and operational readiness of the restaurant facilities.
- Develops and manages work and training schedules for crew members to maximize operational efficiency.
- Ensures financial success through effective forecasting and budget management during shifts.
- Handles the hiring, training, and termination processes for crew members as needed.
- Manages payroll processes and status changes for crew members during shifts.
- Implements reward and recognition programs to motivate staff.
- Authorizes managerial functions such as discounts and time clock overrides in the absence of senior management.
- Completes other duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the restaurant.
General to the Role:
- Upholds and enforces Hardee’s standards and policies, utilizing necessary tools and logs to support shift operations.
- Generates and acts upon result-oriented documents for necessary corrective actions during shifts.
Requirements for Success:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and capable of quickly adapting to new technology systems.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible, self-driven, and energetic, able to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
