What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Brake/Shear Operator position at Midwest Finishing Systems?
Midwest Finishing Systems is a leader in the design, fabrication, and installation of complete turnkey systems for industrial finishing and powder coating applications. We are currently looking for an experienced Press Brake/Shear Operator.
If you have the following qualifications, we are looking for employees like you:
- Must be able to plan and layout bending sequence, referring to drawings, blueprints or specifications
- Bend a variety of products or assemblies of small, light to average weight following standard procedures
- Request assistance on large or heavy sheet metal blanks
- Setup various types of metal in performing operations in forming. All parts must be bent to close tolerances. Requires aligning, fitting and adjusting parts to meet operating requirements of unit
- Regularly check product to specifications included in the work order packet. Specific quality checks are required by measuring cutouts, length, width, gauge, and material types
- Assist Engineering personnel in the modification, parts substitution, and repair
- May perform minor maintenance procedures
- Prior forklift experience a plus
- Blueprint reading experience preferred, but not required
- Capable of lifting at least 50lbs
- Excellent attendance is necessary
- Team player mentality
