The Midwest Filtration Quality Department is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System as well as testing materials and products, providing analyses and samples to sales staff and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing first article and in-process inspections - visually determine color, shape, and size of a part through established measurement methods.
- Ensure all materials are packaged in accordance with existing procedures.
- Ensure quality check procedures are followed during every production phase.
- Ensuring measuring equipment in production areas is calibrated and working correctly.
- Assisting with preparation of material samples for the Sales Department
- Performing regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Quality experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025 or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience with physical laboratory testing preferred.
- Lean manufacturing experience in a fast-growing company
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with others
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and affiliated software packages.
- Must possess the capability to function within the Epicor (ERP) database application daily.
