What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coding Specialist position at MIDWEST EYE CARE PC?
Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist at our location at 13500 California Street in Omaha, NE.
Full-time, Monday - Friday
8-hour days
In this role YOU will:
- Accurately code and/or verify codes used for clinical charges and diagnosis
- Insure accurate coding and entry of surgical charges
- Audit and give feedback for quality of the documentation contained in the record
- Complete insurance follow-up
Outstanding candidates will have:
- Have experience coding using CPT coding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis coding.
- Certification as a Medical Biller or Coder preferred.
- The ability to navigate in EMR system
- This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- Ability to sit for extended periods of the work day.
Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:
- Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification and employment credit check
- Successfully complete drug testing.
