ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
- Position has local and regional safety responsibilities
- Develop and maintain policies and programs meant to mitigate organizational impact on the environment and to protect Associates from health and safety risks found in the organization
- Provide engaging and positive leadership to develop a safety-minded culture across the facility and drive continuous EHS improvement
- Responsible for all regulatory and other requirements of the company
- Audits facilities or processes to identify weaknesses or risks and proactively develops and implements corrective actions; ensures appropriate investigation of and response to accidents or injuries
- Always ensure consistent and professional communication with the customer
- Execute and support all projects and provide status updates
- Administer and track EHS training requirements and ensure completion for both technical/management and operator level.
- Track and report daily/weekly/monthly Safety and Environmental metrics
- Drive improvement in behavior-based observation systems and culture
- Maintain emergency response plan and confirm readiness. Lead emergency response team and all emergency response team activities.
- Organize and lead teams/committees to identify and implement safety improvements, waste reductions and resource conservation
- Maintain established guidelines for the collection and maintenance of Associate training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation
- Support business plan goals; develop and monitor tasks to ensure goals are achieved
- Design, recommend and administer safety improvement initiatives/incentives
- Maintain a customer service focus, ensuring and protecting our customer’s best interest
- Oversee spill control and countermeasures by responding to spills, clean up and disposal
- Completes reports in a timely manner. Prepares presentations for all levels when necessary
- Anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures
- Develop and lead safety communications on lessons learned, best practices and innovative activities
- Oversee security activities related to alarms, building processes, emergency situations, parking, etc.
- Act as a role model for all associates and adhere to the company core values

Required
- Post-high school education (2- or 4-year degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related field) or equivalent experience (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse management environment (Preferred)
- Experience planning, scheduling meetings and maintaining paper/electronic files
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to work on various projects simultaneously
- Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department / business
- Ability to create spreadsheets, compose correspondence, maintain databases, create presentations, etc.
- OSHA 30 Hr. General Industry
- OSHA 501 and OSHA 511 (Preferred)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) (Preferred)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) (Preferred)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) (Preferred)
- Certified Quality Technician (CQT) (Preferred)
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and consistently meet commitments
- High level of comfort developing and delivering training and motivational presentations to all levels of Associates
- Possesses good organizational and planning skills, can multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Able to document and execute against short- and long-term plans to achieve objectives
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
- English (Written and Verbal)
- Occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility
- Work will primarily take place in a warehouse/production environment
- Exposure to warehouse/production environment
