Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Generator Installation Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Peoria, IL. The technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining home standby power systems, including cabling, system testing, and troubleshooting. Typical tasks include inspecting equipment, providing maintenance services, and addressing customer concerns or service inquiries to ensure reliable operation and customer satisfaction. Adherence to safety practices and collaboration with clients and team members will be key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Effective communication skills with a focus on customer interactions and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction
- Experience in cabling and understanding of electrical systems for generator installations
- Experience in installation of gas piping for residential and small commercial jobs
- Customer service expertise and the ability to address inquiries and provide professional support
- Physical ability to perform on-site installations, including lifting equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Prior experience with generator installation or maintenance is a plus
- Relevant technical certifications or licenses are preferred
Pay Range and Work Hours
Starting pay for this role will range from $28-$35 per hour, dependent upon experience. This is an hourly position that is eligible for overtime. Work hours are 8:00A-5:00P Monday-Friday.
