Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and reviewing structural systems for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and specialty structures. Key tasks include preparing technical drawings and specifications, conducting site inspections, collaborating with clients and project teams, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of structural analysis, design principles, and construction practices
- Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
- Strong project management and organizational skills for coordinating with teams and meeting deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address project challenges
- Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and engineering regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain it is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members
- Experience in historic building repair or deep foundation design is a plus
