- Meet with the project team to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones; identify open issues and pending decisions and assign responsibilities accordingly.
- Assist Sales Engineers in defining project scope, establishing schedules, and allocating resources to ensure scope definitions align with performance baselines for measurement and control.
- Coordinate with Sales and Lead Engineers to identify, evaluate, and manage changes to project scope; assess whether changes are beneficial and determine their impact on project schedules.
- Monitor and control project schedules; confirm that schedule changes are necessary and beneficial and manage their implementation effectively.
- Support Sales and Lead Engineers in resource planning, cost estimating, lead-time management, and overall project cost control; identify and leverage resource strengths and recommend training to enhance project performance.
- Continuously monitor projects to ensure adherence to scope and compliance with customer requirements.
- Identify the information needs of both customers and the project team and ensure timely delivery of required data and updates.
- Support and monitor administrative closure of project phases and final project completion; assist the CFO with contract completion, contract administration, job costing, and distribution of final cost data.
- Assist in the identification, assessment, and management of project risks and in developing response strategies.
- Collaborate with Lead Engineers to identify project issues and develop effective resolution plans.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new project opportunities.
- Depending on project scope, serve as Lead Engineer to guide detailed design efforts and ensure design consistency throughout the project; work with Engineering Managers to review and approve final designs.
- Provide Sales and Applications teams with technical support on new opportunities, including reviewing solutions and preparing estimates and quotes.
- Support Engineering and Purchasing teams in identifying, qualifying, and selecting appropriate vendors.
- Assist in developing industry-specific templates for maintenance manuals.
- Travel is required to fulfill project management responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Minimum 10 years of Projection Management experience with Automated equipment/robotics, Engineering, Sales, Applications or other relevant experience.
