Summary:
This role is responsible for installing new garage doors and openers, servicing existing systems, and delivering a high-quality customer experience on every job. You will work both independently and as part of a team to complete residential and light commercial projects safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Role & Responsibilities:
Installation
- Install residential and light commercial garage doors and openers
- Ensure proper alignment, balance, and functionality of all installed systems
- Read and interpret work orders, job specifications, and layouts
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Service & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair garage door and opener issues
- Replace springs, cables, rollers, tracks and other components
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections
- Clearly communicate issues and solutions to customers
Customer Experience
- Provide professional, courteous and timely service to customers
- Educate customers on proper use and maintenance of their systems
- Represent the company positively on all job sites
Safety & Equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site
Team & Operations Support
- Communicate effectively with office staff and team members
- Accurately document work performed, materials used and job status
- Assist with warehouse or shop tasks as needed
- Ensure trucks / vans are adequately equipped to perform the day’s work
Requirements:
- 2 years experience (prefered) in garage door installation/service preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physical work daily
- Comfortable working with ladders, tools, and jobsite environments
