Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM / Monday–Friday
Location: Lee’s Summit, MO
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations in a snack food wholesale distribution environment. The Forklift Operator will safely move, stock, and stage pallets of product to support inbound and outbound shipments. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and reliable operation of forklift equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload inbound and outbound trucks
- Retrieve and stage pallets from LTL packed pallet areas for shipment or production
- Stock full pallets onto warehouse shelving and retrieve product from upper-level storage
- Assist picking and packing teams by preparing pallets for production
- Perform daily forklift maintenance, including battery charging, water checks, and cleaning
- Stage finished pallets in organized, numerical order within designated shipping lanes
- Coordinate with office personnel to resolve shipment discrepancies or operational issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or heavy equipment operation
- Valid forklift certification
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations
- Experience with warehouse management systems and RF scanners for inventory control
- Prior warehouse or construction experience
- Strong attention to safety protocols and attention to detail in order picking and load/unload processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
