Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software, Open Dental
- Assist with patient intake forms, documentation review, and updating electronic health records
- Facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff to coordinate care plans and follow-up appointments
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow
- Collect payments and explain financial policies
- Prepare patients for upcoming visits and procedures
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Open Dental, or similar dental practice management software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards and handle sensitive patient information responsibly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work independently
