Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver products to residential and commercial job sites according to scheduled routes and teammates' needs.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adjusting as needed to meet deadlines and optimize time management.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete all necessary documentation accurately.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly to our Mechanical Team.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper lifting techniques and adherence to traffic laws, to ensure personal and team safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during routes.
Requirements
- NO CDL REQUIRED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, preferably with experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- Prior delivery driver experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and navigate city or rural routes confidently.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items, perform repetitive movements, and work in various weather conditions.
