About the Job
Midwest Lake Service is looking for hardworking people to join our lake crews as entry level dock installers.
This is a physical, outdoor role right on the water. You will work with an experienced crew to install, pull, transport, and stack seasonal docks, boat lifts, and shoreline gear. If you like staying active outside, working as part of a reliable crew, and keeping your days simple and straightforward, this job is a great fit.
No prior experience is necessary. We provide complete, training on the job starting your first week.
What You Will Do Each Day
- Carry, position, and line up dock sections, lumber, posts, and hardware in and around the lake.
- Assemble dock frames, posts, pins, and brackets in the spring, then pull them out for winter beach staging and storage in the fall.
- Help load and unload trucks, trailers, and crane barges with lumber, frames, and tools.
- Keep safety first by communicating during team lifts and following basic safety standards.
- Inspect and clean company hand tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
What We Are Looking For
- You show up on time, ready to work every morning, and keep pace with the rest of the crew.
- You can lift and carry 50 to 80 pounds on your own, assist with 100 pound team lifts, and stay on your feet for an 8 to 10 hour day.
- You are comfortable working in and around open water, working on a dock boat, and walking on muddy, rocky, or uneven shorelines.
- You can follow clear verbal directions from your crew lead and treat customer property with care.
- You have reliable transportation to get to our shop and yard in Spirit Lake each morning.
