Role Description This is a contract, on-site Volunteer role located in Columbus, OH. Volunteers support event operations by assisting with attendee check-in, registration, and information desk coverage throughout the Summit. Day-to-day tasks may include helping with room setup and breakdown, guiding attendees to sessions, managing lines, and distributing materials such as badges and programs. Volunteers also assist with speaker and sponsor support, including coordinating schedules, handling basic logistics, and ensuring session areas are ready. Depending on experience and interest, volunteers may help with social media updates, photography support, or community engagement activities during the event.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in Bitcoin, blockchain, or emerging technology, with a willingness to learn and engage with attendees about event topics.
- Event support skills, including customer service, time management, and the ability to assist with registration, crowd flow, and room setup.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with attendees, speakers, sponsors, and other volunteers.
- Organizational skills and reliability, including following instructions, meeting schedules, and maintaining a high level of professionalism on-site.
- Ability to stand and move around the venue for extended periods and to perform light physical tasks related to event setup and breakdown.
- Previous experience volunteering or working at conferences, meetups, or community events is beneficial but not required.
- Availability to be on-site in Columbus, OH for required training and event hours.
