- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all addiction services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, counselors, social workers, and support staff to deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations (using ICD-9, ICD-10 coding), patient care documentation, and case management strategies tailored to diverse populations including children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those with co-occurring mental health conditions such as PTSD.
- Oversee crisis intervention protocols and crisis management procedures to ensure immediate response capabilities for patients experiencing acute episodes or emergencies.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical records, documenting medical terminology appropriately, and managing sensitive patient information securely.
- Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient-centered care through family counseling, child & family therapy sessions, and community outreach initiatives focused on behavioral health education.
- Drive continuous quality improvement by analyzing data collection outcomes, research findings, and clinical research insights to refine treatment approaches and enhance patient outcomes.
- Extensive experience in addiction counseling with proficiency in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, behavioral therapy, CPT coding, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), and medical documentation standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including developmental disabilities and autism—and their families within clinical or hospital settings.
- Strong background in social work principles combined with expertise in case management, patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and mental health counseling.
- Skilled in applying cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), trauma-informed care (including PTSD), and behavior management techniques across diverse populations.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance alongside experience managing medical records and utilizing medical terminology accurately.
- Exceptional crisis management skills capable of coordinating immediate responses during emergencies while maintaining calm leadership under pressure.
