Patient eXperience Coordinator
Midwest Audiology & Hearing Center is searching for a Patient eXperience Coordinator to join our growing team. The Patient eXperience Coordinator is a critical role supporting our team centered approach within our clinical scope of hearing healthcare. Responsibilities:
· Act as a primary point of contact for our patients to answer questions and support a memorable experience with our practice.
· Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
· Assist in developing and implementing personalized care plans in collaboration with our healthcare providers.
· Handle patient registration, collect personal and insurance information, and maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
· Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive care approach.
· Liaise with insurance companies to verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and assist with billing inquiries.
· Oversee patient flow, help resolve logistical issues, and coordinate discharge planning.
· Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare system and help identify and address barriers to care.
· Arrange referrals to specialists and other necessary services.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in healthcare or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient registration or care coordination is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
