Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist located in Merrillville, IN. The Environmental Health Safety Specialist will be responsible for implementing health and safety protocols, conducting safety training sessions, and maintaining compliance with occupational health and environmental health and safety regulations. Daily tasks include inspecting work environments, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring workplace safety standards are met to protect all employees.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS)
- Proficiency in Workplace Safety and Safety Training
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field degree, certificate or relative experience.
- Certification in EHS or relevant field is a plus
- Previous experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment is beneficial
