Head Coach Women's Flag Football
Midway University is actively seeking a full-time head coach to oversee the start-up and lead its Women’s Flag Football program (competition starting in 2026-2027 season). This is a full-time 12-month position that reports directly to the Vice President of Athletics and Student Affairs.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Recruiting to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance in accordance with admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
- Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off-season training.
- Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
- Supporting academic progress, enforcing discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coach and program volunteers.
- Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
- Adhering to Midway University, Rivers States Conference, NAIA, and any other appropriate governing body policies and procedures
- Additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Department

- Sound judgment and the ability to respond to emergency situations promptly.
- Commitment to the academic and life skills development of student-athletes.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships across campus.
- Experience in recruiting student-athletes and managing coaching staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travelling for away games, is required.
- Demonstrated coaching experience is required, with head or assistant collegiate-level experience preferred.
- Familiarity with and working knowledge of NAIA rules, along with a strong commitment to compliance, are essential.
