What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver position at Midway Transit LLC?
Midway Transit is a Non-emergency Medical Transportation(NEMT) provider in the state of Wisconsin. We have more than 10 years of experience and complete nearly 600 trips every day.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking to add full-time NEMT contracted drivers to our team. You will be transporting members from their homes to their appointments using your own vehicle. You will mainly perform curb-to-curb and door-to-door trips.
As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for personal work expenses such as gas, vehicle maintenance, repairs, and safety equipment. Commercial insurance will be provided by Midway Transit and coverage will be deducted every week from your paycheck, along with a service fee for the software you will use to perform jobs. You will receive your first paycheck on your third week of work, Friday, with back pay.
Compensation is paid by the mile from the members' pick-up address to their drop-off address. We recommend nothing larger than a four-door sedan and cannot be a two-door or a two-seater vehicle.
REQUIREMENTS:
Wisconsin drivers license
23 years of age or older
Clean background
Clean driving record (less than two traffic violations within the past year, and less than one vehicle accident within the past two years.)

$10.00 flat rate for every trip 5.0 miles and under
$1.00 per mile after the first 5.0 miles
