Forklift Operator I Location: Madison WI Pay: $23/hr Schedule: 2nd Shift 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM Hours: 40 per week OT as neededPosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator I to join our Midway Staffing team. This role involves operating a variety of powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) to move, stage, and manage products while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with company standards.Types of Equipment Used:Cherry Pickers (up to ~35’)Stand-up ForkliftsWalkie/RidersSit-down ForkliftsKey Responsibilities:Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound shipments.Safely move, stack, and stage products using forklifts or other power equipment.Execute ERP system transactions for shipments.Use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS).Maintain accurate inventory records.Handle hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards.Follow 5S safety and housekeeping practices.Complete all required safety training and use PPE correctly.Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks.Assist with receiving and loading activities as needed.Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:At least 1 year of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or similar environment.Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs.Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.Must be able to speak and read English.Basic math skills.Preferred Requirements:Proficiency in operating various forklifts and warehouse equipment (stand-up reach, sit-down order picker, pallet jack).Knowledge of safety regulations and forklift operating procedures.Experience using RF equipment for transporting, receiving, and loading functions.Certification in forklift operation is a plus (not required if experienced).#ZRCompany DescriptionMidway Staffing is a dynamic and rapidly growing enterprise dedicated to connecting top talent with leading organizations.
