1st Shift QA Technician

Job Title: QA Technician – 1st ShiftLocation: Carol Stream, ILSchedule: Monday–Friday, 1st ShiftPay Rate: $21/hrJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable QA Technician to support food safety, quality control, and production compliance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role performs essential verification, monitoring, and documentation tasks across both raw and finished goods areas, including the Beef Room and Gyros production lines.Key ResponsibilitiesRaw Area & General QA Duties• Conduct Pre-Op inspections (backup role)• Check, monitor, and record room temperatures in raw areas, blast freezer, and finished-goods freezer• Perform scale calibration in raw areas (backup for Pre-Op)• Assist with thermometer calibration (backup role)• Verify cleaning procedures in the Beef Room prior to start-up• Verify Beef Room preparation procedures, including temperatures and formulas• Collect and submit daily lab samples for trimming• Verify production processing procedures: injection recipes, meat sizes, ingredients• Monitor safety procedures and ensure all GMPs are being followedGyros Room Duties• Review production schedule and verify all processing procedures are followed (meats, formulation sheets, ingredients)• Provide production support when staff is short (fat analyzer sheets)• Conduct hourly temperature checks on gyro cones• Perform batch verification: meat temperatures, lot codes, mix time, and water measurements• Document and follow up on deviations in batches• Ensure compliance with special formulas or export requirements• Monitor condensation, safety requirements, and GMPs• Verify proper meat rotation proceduresQualifications• Experience in food manufacturing, food safety, or quality assurance preferred• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy• Ability to work in cold environments (refrigerated and freezer rooms)• Understanding of GMPs, food safety standards, and production processes• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently#ZRCompany DescriptionMidway Staffing is a dynamic and rapidly growing enterprise dedicated to connecting top talent with leading organizations.
