Equipment Associate

Midway Rental (a division of REIC Rentals) in Belgrade is hiring an Equipment Associate (Yard Technician) who enjoys general labor, customer service and familiar with or being comfortable around heavy equipment. If you have experience personally or professionally with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues-this is a PLUS! As an Equipment Associate, your responsibilities will include meticulously washing and detailing rental equipment before delivery, inspecting small equipment for quality, managing the hookup and receiving of trailer or smaller rented items, and enhancing the visual appeal of our yard.

A typical day might include the following:

• Prepping yard for start and close of business
• Loading and unloading equipment and communicating rental details with the Rental Coordinator
• Wash and make any necessary repairs to returned equipment and ensure it is rent ready
• Assist in the look, appearance, and arrangement of equipment in the yard

Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a forklift, AWP, and propane training tests
• A focus and priority for safety
• Customer service experience
• Experience working outside in extreme weather conditions in all seasons.
• Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes

• Ability to work fluctuating schedules which include some Saturdays
• Complete other duties as assigned
• Ability to take comprehend job related duties in both verbal and written formats
• Comfortable working with limited supervision at times

Physical demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and the ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds several times throughout a shift
• % of workday performing, but not limited to:
  • Standing 50%
  • Walking 45%
  • Sitting 5%
