What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at Midway Products Brand?
This is a 1st shift position.
Responsibilities:
Propose process specification and design standards on electrical matters; Develop and implement software changes to improve production capabilities;
Design, and maintain electrical controls, and software;
Troubleshoot and problem-solve all electrical control related issues for press, robotic and weld machines;
Support production in reducing 1 eliminating equipment and tooling downtime or scrap;
Coordinate, plan and implement all electrical controls related projects;
Participate in training and travel for follow-up procedures;
Review and approve processes for production work flow set-ups for ultimate approval of the supervising Engineering Manager;
Has the authority to recommend stopping production operations with respect to safety or quality concerns;
Participates in production, and shift to shift meetings
Requires:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related; or,
Three (3) years toward a relevant bachelor’s degree with an additional four (4) years of experience; or,
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training will also be considered; and,
Experience to include: Design and Programming Control Systems and onsite installation of systems.
