What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Transmission Technician position at Midway Ford Truck Center?
Midway Ford Truck Center is looking for a Full Time Automotive Transmission Technician. Technician will work Monday through Friday; no weekends! The technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and will work to diagnose and correct mechanical concerns.
Duties:
- Diagnose and repair transmission issues in Ford vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance on transmission systems
- Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow
- Complete all tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high quality standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Candidates must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Highly professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service oriented
Requirements:
- 7 years verifiable automotive repair experience
- 5 years of verifiable transmission experience
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record
- Mechanics toolset
