Position Overview
The Elevator Branch Manager leads the daily operations of a Midway Co-op grain elevator location while delivering excellent customer service, ensuring safe operations, and driving business growth. This role works closely with team members, customers, and leadership to support the success of Midway Co-op and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily grain elevator operations, including safety, planning, scheduling, and inventory control
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication
- Promote and grow the use of Midway Co-op products and services
- Manage budgets, margins, and expenses in alignment with the business plan
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies
- Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and equipment functionality
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate and timely records
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and lead team members in daily operations
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and development
- Conduct performance management and compensation evaluations
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
Work Schedule
- Typically 4050 hours per week
- Monday through Saturday schedule
- Hours may fluctuate based on seasonal demands and customer needs
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (Class A with Hazmat endorsement) or ability to obtain and maintain
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze business operations and make sound decisions
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
- Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and resolve concerns effectively
- Regular and reliable attendance
Preferred Qualifications
- Agricultural or cooperative experience
- Prior supervisory or management experience
Technical & Functional Skills
- Proficiency in computer systems including accounting, spreadsheet, word processing, and inventory software
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
- Ability to manage change, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, including for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work at heights and operate equipment such as a grain elevator man lift (300 lb. weight limit)

- Moving mechanical parts
- Grain dust, fumes, and airborne particles
- Extreme temperatures (heat and cold), wet or humid conditions
- Exposure to chemicals, vibration, electrical hazards, and potential explosive environments
- Ability to work in loud environments
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
