Midtown Women’s Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable Mammography Technologist to join our breast imaging team. The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations while providing exceptional patient care in a comfortable and professional environment.

Our center is dedicated to breast imaging, allowing our technologists to focus on providing specialized care to patients throughout their imaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Obtain diagnostic-quality images while following proper positioning and technical standards.
• Perform additional mammographic views and assist with patient callbacks as directed.
• Provide compassionate, professional care to patients throughout the examination.
• Explain the mammography procedure and answer appropriate patient questions.
• Obtain and document accurate patient history and clinical information.
• Properly identify patients, examinations, and images.
• Review images for positioning and technical quality before completing the examination.
• Maintain accurate documentation and interact with PACS and electronic medical systems.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and additional imaging as needed.
• Prepare and maintain mammography equipment and examination rooms.
• Follow all applicable radiation safety, infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, patients, and members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain required quality control and regulatory documentation.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications.
• Assist with workflow and other duties as needed to support the imaging center.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification required.
• Current Mammography certification required.
• Minimum of 2 year of mammography experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current Florida radiologic technologist license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammography strongly preferred.
• Experience in a dedicated breast imaging environment preferred.
• Knowledge of mammography positioning, imaging protocols, radiation safety, and quality standards.
• Experience with PACS and electronic medical/imaging systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients who may be anxious or undergoing diagnostic evaluation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, patient-focused team.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
