The Opportunity
Midtown Psychology is currently seeking a full or part-time psychologist to join our collaborative and supportive team. This position is ideal for either a Licensed Psychologist, or a Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow, who has experience working with children and teens in both individual and group therapy settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based practices
- Lead or co-lead group therapy focused on social-pragmatic skill development
- Collaborate closely with families and, when appropriate, school teams to develop treatment goals
- Maintain timely, accurate, and ethical documentation
- Attend weekly supervision and participate in case consultation and team meetings
Who You Are
- Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology
- Licensed in New York State or NYS Limited Permit holder
- Experienced in providing individual therapy to children and adolescents
- Skilled in CBT and other evidence-based treatments
- Warm, collaborative, and able to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Available for sessions during weekday evenings and/or weekends
- Comfortable with a hybrid schedule (in-person and remote sessions)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in school settings or with interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with Social Thinking interventions and executive functioning support
- Experience working with 2e and neurodivergent populations
