What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Associate position at Midstates Bank?
Job Purpose:
In compliance with established policies and procedures, this position performs data processing and operations functions along with internal and external customer service for all Midstates Bank's branches. The Operations Associate will perform assigned duties in accordance with Midstates Bank's Core Values and will adhere to the Quality Service Standards.
Essential Functions:
- Provides high level customer service phone support – assisting with everything from helping a customer get into online banking, to assist a customer with opening any Deposit Account, CD rates, check orders, account balances and checks clearing, debit cards lost, fraud and increases; transferring calls to appropriate staff as needed using quality customer service
- Assists in day-to-day operational support of all Midstates Bank locations including, but not limited to: routine deposit procedure questions, online banking reset, debit cards and debit card increases, verifying savings transactions, RDC and RDA daily checkbacks
- Assists in text banking support – during banking hours
- Assists in statement preparation
- Provides research support to all locations – statements, cash management agreements, RDC agreements, cancelled checks
- Assists in uploading new accounts and funding
- Assists in fraud detection monitoring and reporting
- Assists in return check processing as requested
- Provides wire support to locations as requested
- Participates in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive image for the bank
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
Positive communication skills, Microsoft Windows and Office, Jack Henry SilverLake software, accuracy, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, reliability, confidentiality, and customer service.
Education:
HS diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of banking experience strongly preferred
